The documents on this site have nearly all been collected by Richard L. Thompson, also known by his Vaishnava name, Sadaputa Dasa, over the course of his long career working as a polymath proficient with the methodologies of modern science while exploring the age-old theistic tradition of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, recently introduced to the West during the turbulent 1960s, and commonly known as Hare Krishna. As such he was genuinely interested in the profound questions of the long broad discourse of religion and science and the natural world, and in particular with application to the Vaishnava tradition.
RLTA, Inc., the sponsor of this website, is a non-profit organization of volunteer contributors. We would like to wholeheartedly thank Richard Thompson’s family for generously making his personal papers available for continuing scholarship. We would also like to thank the Board of Directors of the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust for their timely grant of initial funding that helped estabish this project.
